Conflict of Interest Policy

The Ulutas Medical Journal requires authors, reviewers and editors to disclose any financial or personal relationships that could inappropriately influence, or be perceived to influence, their work.

Authors: All authors must complete the ICMJE disclosure form at submission and include a Conflict of Interest statement in the manuscript. If there are no conflicts, the statement should read "The authors declare no conflicts of interest." All sources of funding must be declared.

Reviewers: Reviewers must decline to review, or inform the editor, if they have a competing interest with the authors, their institutions or the funders, or if they have recently collaborated with any of the authors.

Editors: Editors must not handle manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest. Manuscripts submitted by editors or editorial board members are handled by another editor and undergo the same independent peer review.

Undisclosed conflicts of interest identified after publication are handled according to COPE guidelines and may result in a correction or retraction.
